Today(25.06.2022) we had a session with Ms. Aarthi Rajaratnam, Psychologist and Counsellor from Salem city for the parents of Std IX, X, XI and XII.
It was a wonderful session with a good no. of parents. All sat patiently and listened to the speaker with great interest. PTA members also were present making the event a very successful one .
Ms. Aarthi spoke eloquently on various topics ranging from food habits, adolescents and their mannerisms. She helped parents understand the need to be patient with their girls and help children handle the transition in their life.
Ms. Aarthi spoke on three steps to focus on as a parent :
1. Improve communication channels between child and parent,
2. Adequate sleep of 6 to 8 hours and
3. Seek help if there is a problem.
As a parent it is important to tell the child “ I value You ”.
The session was a great success as parents put forth questions and Ms. Aarthi answered each one with clarity and thought.
