62ND ANNUAL DAY
62nd Annual Day was held today(09.12.2022) in the school Auditorium, at 5.30 p.m. in the presence of esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Thilak Kiruba General Surgeon, Dr. Rajni Kiruba, Kiruba Hospital, Salem, Guest of Honour Rev. Sr. Norah Alunkal, Provincial Superior, Cluny South Central Province, Mrs Manchula S, Assistant Director, Sports Authority of India, Salem center, Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Laazar, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob, Procurator of Salem Diocese, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jerome, President CRI, Ilaya Abdul Kalam Dr. I. Jegan, Motivational Speaker, CEO, Win Your Weakness Motivation Academy, Ms Sobbana our dear teacher, her family and friends. Rev. Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Principals and Staff from other educational institutions, parents, well-wishers and benefactors graced the occasion.
The Kuthuvillakku was lit up and spread its glow as the dancers presented the Bharathanatyam recital. A beautiful LED display coinciding with the events was the highlight of the evening.
Gifts and Mementos were presented to the dignitaries. Ms Sobbana our retiring teacher was honored and presented with gifts from the management, teachers and students.
Accolades and Rewards:
The School Toppers and outstanding students who scored the highest mark in each subject of Std XII , XI & X batch of 2021- 2022 took home beautiful trophies a testimony of their hard work and dedication in academics.
The Best Student Achiever Award was also bestowed on students from Std V to Std XII.
The Annual Report presented by the Principal Sr. Roselyn was spectacle as the various achievements in both academic and extracurricular fields were showcased. A play “The Evergreen Christmas Tree” brought into focus the power of the Fig Tree during Christmas. The culmination dance and soothing, melodious carols sung by the Cluny Choir brought the curtains down on this beautiful cold evening.
Dr. Thilak Kiruba shared his thoughts and reminisced his long association with Cluny Sisters and the school .
Ms. Sobbana who will retire in May 2023 reflected on her journey as a teacher in this esteemed institution. She shared her experiences as a teacher with the audience and all present . Ms Sobbana also thanked the management for the encouragement and support that she had received all through these years without which her role as a good teacher could never have been justified.
All the dignitaries applauded the institution, its teachers and the students for the good work.
