Salem District Chess Association organized a Chess Tournament at St. Michael’s Matric. HSS, Valapadi on 23.02.2020. Swarnika S of class VIII participated in under 19 Category and bagged the 5th place and received a cash award of Rs. 350/-. She also participated in under 17 Category and secured the 2nd place and was selected for the State Level Competition which will be held at Kaniyakumari from May 16th – 20th.
